Essential Training for New Finance Staff - Schools & Academies - Part 1 - Roles & Responsibilities, Financial Framework and Funding

Finance Officers in a school/academy need a diverse range of financial knowledge, including internal controls, financial administration and reporting requirements. This series of modules provides the information needed to understand School/Academy finance and administration.

The first of 6 modules in the full course, Part 1 will cover roles and responsibilities of finance staff and governors/trustees; how schools are funded and the income timetable; understanding the financial framework.. There will be opportunities throughout the session for delegates to ask questions.

Delegates will;

• gain an understanding of their roles &responsibilities, as well as those of the SLT & Governors/Trustees

• gain confidence in understanding of school funding, calculations & timetable of payments
